Hi, can my VMB3000 base station be used as a router for my laptop, or is it dedicated to the Arlo cameras?

i just tried it. my laptop sees it as a wireless source but trying to connect stops when it asks for the password, which i have no way of knowing

No... TBMK, it is not a full router but will only link the cameras to it.

Also as mentioned there is no access into in as there is no PW.

I was able to get into a unit over a year ago and tho i could sign on , there wasn't much else I could do with a laptop
