Yes, Netgear has approved a cell/charger combo thats works well ( I bought one ).

But I also have a number of older cells in the 16340 format ( li-ion / 3.7v ) from testing that I still use ( both quality cells and what I would call junk )

( junk = some early purchased cells from ebay , name ending in 'fire' , highly over rated cells ( tho still working 2 years later ))

I just wanted to warn others of the possible problems that can occur using cheap cells.

Take a look;

Ok, after looking at the picture , do you see a difference ?

The positive tab has been pressed into the battery to half it's height.

This causes several problems;

1) failure to charge properly due to bad contact

2) failure to contact terminal in the Arlo cam causing short run times

3) MOST IMPORTANT, not knowing the damage if any internally to battery

So, if using any li-ion cells ,check them over every time you charge them to check for possible problems, USE only top brand names of high quailty like the ones approved

also make sure you get the right Tenergy rechargeables, the gold colored ones.

I accidentally got the silver colored ones and lucky if I can get a day's use out of them - they are not meant for the Arlo.
