Color is gone black and white only

I tried toggle the night vision off and open battery cover.It works for a day or so an reverits back to black and white (night vision). When I cut off night vision it goes to color. My fear is no night vision on, when no light present camera won't work. This started after Firm wire update. Please Advise.

The NIGHT Vision toggle turns the IR illuminators either on/off...

The Camera will go from color to B/W depending on the current light level of the camera.

You can reset the camera by opening and then closing the battery door... Put it next to another camera if possible and compare the two. If the camera goes B/W in a well lit room/ area and the other doesn't , it could very well be the camera...if so contact Netgear support.
