Will Arlo cameras with Arlo Pro Base Station

I am looking to upgrade to the Arlo Pro Base Station and I am want to make sure that the basic Arlo cameras will work with the pro base station? Also will I am be able to record locally with the Arlo cameras or only with the Arlo Pro Camera?

Both Arlo and PRO cameras work with either base, so your G2G.

As the Pro base has the local record, Yes, any camera synced to the Pro base can use the local record feature

Just a follow up to this as I have the 2 Arlo cameras but going to go ahead and buy the Arlo Pro base with 2 more cameras so I will have a total of 4. Should I place the 2 "pro" cameras where I would want to use audio and maybe the other 2 where I just want to monitor?

This would be the ideal setup. Considering Arlo Pro has audio capability, this would allow audio monitoring in the desired areas.
