Maximum battery life

Hello everybody,

I would like to start a kind of poll here because I am very interested in how long the batteries in practice under different conditions hold.

So I'm already posting my experience with the first set of batteries (supplied):

Camera location: outdoors

Season: Summer

Distance between base station and cameras: 13-16 feets

Recordingtime per day: 2-3 minutes

Setting video quality: maximum battery life

Battery brand: Duracell

-> Batterylife: 5 months and 10 days.

How is your experience?

Recordingtime per day: <1 minute day

Setting video quality:Best video

Battery brand: Duracell

-> Batterylife:10 months, 4 days

Camera location: outdoors

Season: fall winter

Distance between base station and cameras: 25 feet

Recordingtime per day: 2-3 minutes

Setting video quality: best video

Battery brand: Duracell

-> Batterylife: 3 monthes 20 days ( at 35% )

As a PS.... you will find in light usage the OEMs will last longer, In a heavy use area rechargeable 16340 (3.7v) will last longer.

no other experiences? It would be very helpful to have comparative values and you could possibly draw conclusions to certain contexts.

For example, how strong the influence of certain conditions is, etc.

Just copy my post and replace the values. It's not that hard! 😉

I'd reply but I really haven't tracked mine closely. I did early on but now I just use a gut feeling.

After two years... tracking daily falls off cause you just know if its working about right.

I live in Chicago. This winter was warm but the temperature did drop to about negative 30º. Arlo did a good job it didn't die. I installed it on 12/1/2016 and just realized the battery was gone 2 days ago which was on 2/16/2017. A few days before that day, the battery was read as 23%. However, it's suddently out of battery. I rebooted the camera and now it's read 3% battery life. The battery life is about 2.5 months for a warm Chicago winter with sensitivity set to 80%.

BTW, I used too much battery life to adjust the position before. Also, I didn't have very good network signals for few weeks or a month. My usage is like 80-100 clips per day.
