topic Arlo battery drained to less than 70% within 12 hours of setup? in Arlo

I was quite dishearted when my new Arlo camera with new batteries drained to 68% within 12 hours of setup. I'm confident that wifi range/signal strength should not be the problem as an older Arlo camera mounted at the same spot did not have the same issue post setup. My library only showed a 10sec video recorded by this unit during the entire 12 hour period in "Armed" mode. The unit is outdoor. Any suggestions please for how I should investigate or should I just return the Arlo camera?

It could have been a problem with the batteries (1 or more depleted cells) upon setup. Consider a fresh set to see if you experience the same behavior.

Thanks jguerdat and JamesC. I might give the fresh batteries a go and see if it makes a difference. The drainage does not have seem to have persisted into the second day of use. We'll see.
