Small bugs and fast birds will also set the camera off. Decrease the sensitivity as Steve_t said.

I mounted my front camera to see entry walkway and front porch. In the live view or playback the sidewalk and street is not in view. I am getting many many motion alerts when there is nothing there. Granted it works fine when motion IS there but it's driving me crazy with so many false motion alerts. The camera in the backyard is perfectly fine? SMH? Also I can not figure out how to get sound? Thx Big Ed!

First of all, if you have Arlo cameras and not Pro cameras , there is no sound.

Sound is only on the Pro model.

Second , test if it's the camera and not location.... Swap the two and see if problem follows the camera.

If it does contact Netgear support

Have you tried turning down the motion sensitivity until it doesn't respond to traffic? Vehicles, especially large trucks, have a large IR fingerprint that sets off the cameras, even if they're not in the frame
