Thank you Tom. There is an area outside our home we use often. To preserve battery life I would like to disarm one specific camera for a while. When you state "the Arlo goes into a sort of sleep", do you mean the entire system or the selected camera?

To improve battery life, is it possible to disable at will a camera using the Arlo App?

If the camera is DISARMED, the Arlo goes into a sort of sleep mode using VERY little power

My very low usage camera that really just sits there go over 7 months on OEM batteries.

( other than removal of the batteries its the best you can do )

All the Arlo cameras go to a low power state, they only ping the base now and then to make sure all is ok.

If you have a camera that isn't used much, make sure you set up custom modes without that camera included... If the camera isn;t in the active mode it will be off ( in sleep mode with low power drain )

IE. two cameras one inside , one outside... arming ONLY the inside camera ( outside will not be in use and use very little power )

I see instructions for enabling multiple devices (iPhones) for geofencing, where it is recommended to disable the cameras and later enable them. How do you disable/enable a camera? Is that the same as turning it off and on via the app?

Geofencing automatically allows the user to control the mode cameras are in based on their (mobile device) location, take a look here for more information: How does Arlo Geofencing work and how do I set it up?

The Privacy feature allows the user to switch a camera on/off, for more information, see here: How do I use the Arlo privacy feature?
