Another answer. The Firefox add-on named "Enable Tracking Protection" can cause the above problem. Disabling the extension solves the problem for me. Have not found a way to keep the add-on active, and at the same time give Netgear a way around the restrictions.

I used to be able to click on the download button in Firefox and save the video to my hard drive. I have not changed one thing on my Windows 10 PC or in the browser settings. But, ever since the last Arlo upgrade I have not been able to download the videos using Firefox. I can still download them using Chrome, but since Firefox is my chosen browser it is a pain in the butt to have to go from one browser to the other just for downloading videos from my Arlo. When I try to download using Firefox a new blank window opens that says "connecting" in the title. But, that's all that happens no matter how long I wait. Can you please fix this?

As you know, since the other browser works, it is in the browser somewhere or something changed....

With the auto updates the browsers get ( esp with flash ) one that works well last month may not be the best this month.

I would save all your book marks in Fire Fox, then delete the browser and then do a clean re-install of Fire Fox.

Watch the add-ons theat FF uses as some may cause problems

A work around! I am also using firefox and have the same issue. Instead of trying to download directly, you can SELECT the video segment that you want, then click "SHARE", then COPY LINK. Then manually open a new tab in the browser, CNTRL/P to insert the link, the first frame of the video will appear. The video can be played, or with a right click, can be downloaded as an mp4 file. Has anyone figured out which of the security settings in Flash, Windows Media Player or Firefox needs to be changed to fix the underlying problem?
