That's a tough one to answer without being able to actually be there to try things. It could be a variety of things from just an unlucky placement of the base station to other wireless devices using 2.4GHz to a bad (low power) base. Use a WiFi monitor app - what do you find for WiFi devices and their relative strength? The base should be as strong or stronger than pretty much anything else. Move around while monitoring the strength - does it fall off in certain areas? If so, moving the base, perhaps just by a few inches or maybe many feet, can help. If needed, a long Ethernet cable or a WiFi extender with an Ethernet port for the base may be useful to allow optimal positioning.

Also, be aware that a weak signal will wear the batteries down quickly so resolving this will keep you from having to replace batteries in a few days.

Your router is only used for connecting the base via Ethernet. The strength of your normal WiFi has no bearing on the signal levels between the base and cameras. That's why I suggested using the WiFi app to check the base signal levels as you move around. My app shows the base as NTGR_VMB_xxxxxxxxxx.

That may indicate a bad camera or base. Maybe a trouble ticket for additional troubleshooting and possible RMA?
