VB3000 Base station I purchased at goodwill. Cant "claim device at this time" what to do?

I keep getting a message that says "we are unable to claim this device at this time. Please contact support" I purchased the base station and 1 camera at goodwill(sweet find!) and it all works. I hooked it up to my router and even synced the camera succesfully. When I installed the app it tried to access the device and I keep getting the "can't claim" message. I tried the factory reset and was able to see the device but unable to access. I am willing to purchase service plan but will i be able to use this device?
