Same as above, it is the second closet camera, it is a small area, all 4 cameras have full signal strength. I think the camera may have a fault? Though that's i strange to happen all of a sudden

I noticed this morning that the cameras were offline, it has happened alot lately for about a week now. I went ahead and assigned the base a static ip and opened the ports that it needs. I reset the base and all came online but one. I went ahead and opened the latch for the batteries and closed it so it can resync but never came back. I swapped the batteries with another working camera and correct, dead batteries. 15 days? What gives?

What gives?

Batteries have a finite life... the more you use it, the shorter it lasts. Normal viewing spec by Netgear is 4 mins per day at Optimized video setting.

You don't mention your usage.

So, there are a few variables to running out a cams batteries... excessive recordings, over viewing, and defective are prob the top 3.

If not the first two, you can easily swap the 'bad camera' with one thats working to see if it's the cam or location ( after new batteries of course ).

Some locations have much traffic and can run down the batteries in a short time. To fix a high traffic area is to start with lowering the sensitivity of the cam and work from there.

I have had a similar issue, I have 4 cameras all Arlo Wire-Free, they all get roughly the same usage. One of the two cameras in the lounge area is reporting 2% battery, the other 3 cameras are reporting 98%. This camera does get some use, checked once or twice a week. In fact the camera on the back step would get more usage than the one that is reporting low battery.

It was all of a sudden too, it was fine and then I got an email alert reporting 2%, like it went flat over night.

Thanks

What is the signal strength like on the affected camera? It could be that the camera is struggling to maintain it's connection with the base station, causing increased battery drain.

Trying that now, it's dropped 10% in new position, but seems to have stabilised. Any chance the last firmware update caused this issue? These batteries are super expensive, so a little worried this is going to happen again

I haven't had issues with the updates so I'd say no. Resetiing things by power cycling the base and openk g and closing the battery door may be the quick solution.

How far away is the camera from the base station? It sounds like the camera may have dropped offline due to poor connection which can cause increased battery drain.

I purchased a 4 camera pro set and had issues with one of the batteries right out of the gate. I purchased a replacement battery and the camera is working good. I reported it to Arlo and was sent a replacement battery. That one was junk. I purchased a 5th camera and that battery was junk. I am 4/6 on good batteries... 66%... not good!

All of my cameras are within 50 feet of the base station and there have been no connection issues.

I either have really bad luck or Arlo is cutting corners on their battery production.
