I have the exact same problem (see post: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Arlo-Wire-Free-camera/camera-firmware-refuses-to-update/td-p/1104898). I have left the camera and base station undisturbed for 5 days, but the firmware has not updated. Did you have any luck?

I recently purchased an individual camera. When looking at the Device Info, the Hardware is noted as H7 and the current firmware is 1.2.2688. The software reports that an update is available for the firmware. I click the update button and wait for 15 minutes. Nothing happens. When reopening the Arlo software it is again reported that an update is available. The camera is not being disturbed during the update - I have purposely put the camera in a dark area so no motion is recorded and the camera is thus not disrupted during the update.

What is prohibiting me from updating this firmware?

Thank you.

That's a known issue. Several people have reported that manually updating the firmware will not work for them, including me.

I suggest leaving it alone. The camera will eventually update by itself. Make sure you have a fresh set of batteries in, since otherwise the camera will not conduct the update to prevent bricking it due to loss of power during the update procedure.

After a day or two the camera should have updated itself.

Did your camera update on it's own over night or are you still having the issue. Sometimes low batteries can keep the camera firmware from updating, if you're batteries are low, consider inserting a fresh set and try again.
