i brought this today and set it up the cameras are working and the notifications but its not recording when motion detected???

Go into the mode you're on and edit the rules for the cameras. There should be options for recording or not.
Better yet, set up your own custom mode with rules for the cameras including motion sensitivity and recording duration and use that

Are you able to live stream and manually record? Does the recording show up in the library?
