Something's definitely goobered. You should see both an Armed and Disarmed mode. All Motion On implies you've had your system since before the new year of 2016. Delete it. However, to get the Disarmed mode back you'll need to reset the base and start fresh. The reset will recreate Armed and Disarmed and it will be like a brand new system.

Edit: Rereading your post shows that you're in the schedule. Any blank time with no mode assigned is automatically disarmed. Thuse, blank spots are when no motion is detected and no recording.

Well, I just bought (10/16) it and its only been installed for a few days and I can't physically reset it now. So for now I'm trying to remotely figure out which mode is off vs on. In the schedule "All Motion On" shows up as blue, and "Armed" shows up as green.

It should be the dot to the left of the mode name that is either green (filled) or white (empty). Or are you referring to what you see in the schedule? If the latter, it may be best to start fresh by removing all modes in the schedule and then add them back in, using only Armed. Any time that uses that mode will record while any time with no mode assigned will be disarmed. Does that work?

If you use the ARMED mode all your cameras will be on for motion detect. ( I would use ARMED over the other )

In the schedule, ANY time slots not ARMED will have the cameras DISARMED ( off)
