How to turn off Arlo Security Camera and Arlo Q

How do I turn the camera off while I am home and in and out of the house constantly? If I turn it off, don't I have to resync it? That would be difficult if mounted high.

Either use the Mode tab to set the modes to Disarmed or go into Settings, My Devices and use the On/Off slider per camera.

If you do not want the camera triggering recordings, just use DISARM and the cameras will not record any motion in the home.

Disarm puts the cameras into a sleep mode which uses almost no power.

If you want to turn off a camera for privacy ( say a bedroom ) (esp if you "share" it with others) go to seeting and pick camera and TOGGLE OFF.

Then it will do nothing and isn't usable till turned back on.

The first option is usu enough for most users
