Wire-Free Base Station Won't Sync

I just purchased a two-camera system and the set-up fails right out of the gate.

When I get to the step directing me to press the "Sync button for 2 seconds," nothing happens... the sync LED never illuminates.

I have an account, of course, and I'm connected via Ethernet to the router.

Hoping for some help before I just punt and take the whole thing back to Costco....

Try the sync button for just a quick (<1 second) press. If that fails, use the reset button on the base and remove any devices in Settings, My Devices. Then use the Add Device button on the Devices tab to add the base and sync the cameras. The quick sync press should be the trick regardless.

Before I could sync my cameras I had to sync my base station to my router. I made sure that no cameras were within 3 feet of the base station. Once it was all clear I held down the button on my router for about 3 seconds until the light on the unit was blinking and then I pressed and held the sync button on the Arlo basestation until the green light was blinking. Once the green light was blinking on the base station I could then move my camera back near it and continue to sync my cameras as directed.
