&lt;P&gt;The symptom is hand in hand. There is no reason you would see a black and white (grayscale) image if the Night Vision feature is toggled off and there is no other setting that would cause this.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;A black and white image indicates that the camera is in Night Vision mode due to lack of ambient light.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This is expected behavior if your camera has Night Vision mode enabled within the camera settings.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you would like to test this feature, bring your camera to a well lit area and activate the live stream, if the area is well lit, the stream should be in color.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I suspect we're saying the same thing differently. The use of the Night Vision toggle simply enables/disables the IR illuminators but the camera still reacts according to light level - if it drops sufficiently, the camera will switch to B&amp;amp;W to increase sensitivity. &amp;nbsp;We can agree on that, right?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
