Will a weak wifi signal degrade arlo live stream functions?

My cameras will live stream only a minute or two. Then they stop streaming and the play button appears. This happens with motion on or off.

I have the base station connected to the usb port on a range extender, which is also where I synced the cameras with the base. I get a wifi signal and connect cameras up to 250' or more from the range extender.

Would I get better results if I connect the base station to the physical router instead of the extender?

My location is surrounded by metal buildings.

I originally had base station directly to router and one camera was always weak.. I moved station to a range extender/accesspoint and plugged it into it which allowed the signal to be stronger.. I read on other prior chats that the signal only works from base station and only way to increase weak camera is having base station closer which is true.
