Y'all can take this with a grain of salt, but I'll tell you what I think, as I've had the same issues.

The radar icon, is pretty much useless!!!

The key is, the base station is a 2.4ghz wireless antenna and wireless communication is critical between the base and camera.

Move your base around, different angles an/or positions and I think you'll find better performance and more timely response to live streaming requests. It's completely free just takes a bit of time and it worked for me, however I had to get my base completely away from my cable gateway with the use of an extender and putting the base in another room, with the extender.

If you want more info on how I cured this issue, just look at my past posts, where I go into more detail how I figured it out.

Finally, I think maybe these base stations or the cameras aren' putting out a powerful enough 2.4ghz broadcast signal???

Is the base station just a poor antenna???

Netgear???

I bought the base station kit with four cameras. I set up all four cameras today and the live streaming for each rarely work. All four cameras show a strong signal, new batteries, and are at the recommended distance from each other and the base station. The live streaming is not working more than it is. I bought the system for the live streaming. I'm hoping there is something that can help with this issue? Or otherwise i'll have to return the product. Please help ..

Don't feel bad. I bought two 4 camera systems and connot get consistant live streaming, cannot get any response from Netgear, cameras totally stop functioning at times, and of course all batteies are new, system installed according to the "little" manual.

You would think that there would be at least an automated response that someone might look at the problem.

Ron Wylie

rwylie@cswnet.com

ron@thegraphic.org
