Does anyone know how I can protect the camera from water spots on the lens. After the rain you can't see anything except water spots.

Obviously, a more protected area can help but a small piece of plastic taped over the top of the camera could help. You'd have to experiment a bit to get it positioned well without cropping the view. Perhaps tilting the camera down a bit could help, too.

Try Rain X on the lens. I know that guys are using it on their GoPro water proof housing lens windows.
