    <description>&lt;P&gt;If it does, the amount is prob so small it doesn't make a diff.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My OEM batteries run 3.5 months always on best video at about 5 mins per day.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Two cams used under spec (&amp;lt; 2-4 mins per week ) lasted 7 months on OEM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;( used only for motion detect inside )&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Problems with short life of batteries fall into a few categories; 1) excessive use 2) bad set up or location 3) defective.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1 and 3 are&amp;nbsp;obvious... 2 is a bit harder to explain but can be interference, base drop out, distance from base, excessive IR activating motion, etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was wondering if Netgear or whoever magnufactured/designed the Arlo camera, performed a study on any possible negative consequences of having the mount magnet so close to the batteries? Perhaps this is currently draining the batteries a tiny faster than usual?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Electricity and magnetism are closely related through Ampere's Law: the physical law that describes how electromagnets are created by running current through a wire to create an electric field. The reverse is also true: a magnetic field can also produce a current via induction, which has the potential to overdraw a battery of an electronic device. However, though any current is capable of generating an magnetic field, only a change in magnetic force -- otherwise known as "flux" -- can produce a current, as per Faraday's Law. A static magnetic field will only produce a drain for a split second.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
