Motion Detection Recording Not Happening

When the camera detects motion and is set to record (it shows the record symbol and motion symbol on the mobile app). I get an alert that there was motion, but i do not see any recorded video or anything showing up in the library. The Rule definition shows, if the following: motion is detected on "entrance camera" at 90% sensitivity, then do teh following: record video "entrance camera" for 30 seconds and do the following: send email alert to the list(1)

I actually don't get an email, nor a video recording. but i do get an app notification that there was motion detected.

Shouldn't the motion get recorded and automatically get added to the library of recordings?

I could well be wrong but it sounds like you're using live view and expecting the camera to record. Live view is superseding the rule and mode. Turn off live view and try again.
