An easy test would be to swap the 'float camera' with another and see if the problem follows the camera. 3 weeks is much to short unless excessive recordings, bad range, or defective. Distance by itself is not a determining factor and walls/mirrors/basic building materials can limit wifi signals.

You could also contact Netgear and put in a trouble ticket..they will assist in seeing if defective.

How can I tell if the camer has a short in it? I installed three camera's, and ordered two more. "Float camera" battery died within 3 weeks. All camera's are set up identically with all distance being very close to the same. Float camera does get moved around a bit (hence its name), BUT- never past the range of the others... The second set of batteries installed into Float camera have again died. They were in for about 3 weeks, again. So- I think that camera has an issue. Please tell me how I can get it checked. Thanks
