Thanks. The camera has NOT been "placed" yet. It has never been farther than 10 feet from the base station and there have been no intervening structural walls or wiring. As I said I just received the item last weekend and was trying to make sure everything works first before testing out.

Hi there,
I have read through a bunch of threads regarding this issue (which others also appear to have had). I bought the 5 camera bundle system over the New Years holiday and the base station and 4 of the 5 cameras seem to work quite well. However there is one particular camera that seems to always go offline. So far, after reading the advice and other peoples threads, I have switched out the batteries, rebooted the camera by cycling the power, rebooted the base station, deleted the camera and re-sync'ed it with the base station, and still every time I try to get the camera to send a live feed, it says that the camera is offline. I have the latest firmware, which I think was downloaded and installed when I first connected the base station. I think I might have a bad camera based on all the difficulties.

So I tried calling netgear support today and literally was on the phone waiting for a representative for 1 full hour before I had to hang up out of sheer frustration.

Any one out there able to help me? The other 4 cameras seem to work just fine.

Thanks,
Chris

There's a variety of possibilities. The camera may not have a good connection to the base due to distance, obstacles (walls, ceilings, wiring, etc.), interference from other devices, etc. A good first step is to swap cameras with a location that works fine. If the problem follows the camera, place a trouble ticket. If the swapped camera does the same thing, you may need to reposition the camera and/or base to get a better connection.
