Very likely not the router (as you've discovered).

The likely issue is that you're pressing the sync button on the base too long. The current scheme is to press briefly (<1 second). Does that help?

Best Buy 4 camera unit with base station. Own at my 2nd home and no problems installing. At primary residence Cameras will not sync - the green flashing 3rd light on base unit does not come on. Returned unit and Geek Squad hitched it up and synced 1st camera no problem. Told me was probably my router (an old T-mobile). Purchased D-link 1750 router as recommended by PCMag. Again, same issue. Got my money back after sales agent says I needed a Netgear router. My 2nd home runs fine off a 39 dollar Belkin. Repurchased same 4 camera package at a sale price. I NEED HELP

They need to change this on the help feature. The two second thing leads to a lot of Arlo hating frustration.
