If you want to maintain motion detection but turn off the LEDs that come on at night for night vision, you can toggle night vision off in the camera settings. No need for the electrical tape. Just navigate to Settings > My Devices > click the desired camera > Toggle Night Vision off. Be sure to save to commit your changes. For more information take a look at this article: Are the infrared LEDs on the Arlo Wire-Free and Arlo Q cameras visible at night?

I hope this helps!

Where on the camera is the motion detection sensor? Is it the middle sensor on the bottom of the camera, or the smaller 2 on either side?

The PIR is the small curved round looking botton right below the lens... the tiny l/r holes are leds to see what's going on with the camera at times.

I want to block ck the infrared - I don't need it - without blocking motion. I am trying to figure out where to place black electrical tape to do this. Any help is appreciated!
