Clueless how to set up doorbell with HomeKit

I’ve read the directions but can’t figure this out

I don’t see HomeKit in my settings, and without photos on the website, I have no idea where to look
i cant even get my camera app to read the QR code, let alone the HomeKit camera function
there’s supposed to be a code?
is the home base required? I just have the doorbell camera (AVD2001)

thanks in advance!

what am I doing wrong? I’m in the US so it seems like I should be able to set this up.

Note: To use Apple Home, your Arlo device must be connected to an Arlo SmartHub or Arlo Base Station. You can’t use Apple Home with your Arlo device if the device is connected directly to a Wi-Fi router.
