Hello,we have recently upgraded our broadband service with getting a better and faster router, the trouble is when trying to connect the Arlo video doorbell bell wirelessly,we could not do this.done all steps, and still no luck.even uninstalled the app, reset the bell etc,but still no luck after bar code confirmation chime, the bell flashes white for some time, then it flashes red for some time and then stops.after pressing the button,it starts to flash white again but then next screen on the phone says no doorbell found.

I have spoken to Vodafone about the router and splitting up the network, however this hub's network can not be split and instead they turned on compatibility mode and bell is chiming but that is all.

Thanks

Thanks for reply Alex,

With the old router I had to split the router network between 2.4GH and the 5GH as the doorbells will only connect to 2.4GH and work.with our new router,as it's newer model,it works with 2.4,5 and 6GH but unable to split,so we had to enable "compatibility mode" hence can connect with devices working within all three frequencies

Hope this clears a bit more

Thanks

Many router models don't let you assign different network names to different bands. I don't know why Arlo keeps giving advice that can't be followed. FWIW, I can add cameras (and doorbells) without doing that (my Orbi router also only has one network name for the main network).

Is the wifi in the router set up to allow WPA2 (AES) connections?

Did you try setting up the router to use the same network and and password as the old one?
