Standby is the mode, not a setting. If you use the Standby mode (assuming you haven't modified it with a rule for the doorbell) the doorbell is Disarmed. You can also edit the mode currently in use, edit the doorbell rule and disable motion detection. Either way, remember to enable the doorbell again.

Night vision must be enabled in the doorbell settings for any chance of a subject being illuminated but that is only useful at close range. If you want a better video, add external lighting such as a porch light, perhaps a motion-activated one. Nighttime videos switch to B&W so you get ANY video due to the lack of light to enable color.

I can’t seem to turn my doorbell off. I used to be able to in the old app. Even in standby mode it is still on.
I don’t want to mute notifications or take the battery out. I have looked in the doorbell settings and there is nothing on there to simply turn it off.
The old app was much more user friendly

Do you mean you want it to stop detecting motion and recording?

Or are you saying you want to silence the chime and prevent the phone call when the doorbell is pressed?

Hi, I just want to completely turn it off.
If I am in my front yard I want it off so I don’t waste the battery.

Do you have other Arlo cameras? Or just the doorbell?

If you only have the doorbell, just change the mode to "Standby". The camera will be disarmed, so no battery drain. (Any other cameras will also be disarmed).

Same here. I see no Off or Standby option. Plus doorbell simply doesn't respond to motion. And night resolution so bad you can't see anything, just dark grey.
