Wire-free doorbell not calling iPhone

I just installed my wire-free doorbell without any issues except one...it does not call my iPhone 8+ running 14.2.2. The device video works fine, records to the library, button beeps when pushed BUT I get nothing to my phone. I have checked that "silent mode' is not activated, phone APP is open, phone and doorbell are connected to the same wifi, APP settings/permissions on phone seem normal. Signal is not going to wife's phone either (who shares devices). All my other Arlo cameras work fine. really need some ideas! Thanks in advance.

Additional info: I just shared the doorbell permission with my wife and the doorbell DID call her phone. We both have identical phones with ios 14.4.2. I put the phones side-by-side and can't see ay differences in settings. If anyone can think about what I may be missing it would help. And yes, I made sure silent mode on my phone was off.

Try reinstalling the Arlo Mobile app and test again to see if you experience the same behavior.
