How do I delete all events in one go on the mobile app?

Unless I missed it, there doesn't seem to be a forum specifically for the Arlo Mobile App. I've got about 1,000 events on it now which must be taking up memory space in my smartphone, so how do I delete them in one go? I can see how to delete individual feeds but there's no "select all" prior to "delete".

I discovered via Google search (no luck searching the Arlo forum) faq 000062208 which says:

1. Launch the Arlo App on your Android device

2. Tap Library

This is where it goes wrong straightaway - 'Library' doesn't appear on the home screen nor in any sub-menus. Could someone point me in the right direction, please?

Because you have the newer "Feed" interface (also called Arlo 4.0).

Go into "Feed" and press the three dots on the upper right of the screen. Then select "Manage Events".

Selection circles will appear next to each day in the feed, and each recording. Selecting the day will select all the recordings for that day. After you selected what you want to delete, press the trash can icon on the bottom right.

(These instructions are for the iOS version of the app - Android might be slightly different).

No. The recordings are all saved in the Arlo Cloud, and aren't on your phone. The only recordings saved on the phone would be ones you manually download.

OK thanks @StephenB. I guess the developers didn't think it would be useful to provide a "delete all" function.

I wasn't aware of this. Is this cloud storage free?

No, it comes with your trial subscription. You will need to subscribe after the trial ends (otherwise you lose cloud recordings, activity zones, and smart notifications).

You can delete them all from the privacy center. Tap the profile icon on the upper left of the screen, and then "Privacy Center". Select the "Content" tab, and then "Erase Arlo Cloud"

If I choose not to subscribe, will my recordings be saved to the phone? And what are these smart notifications I will lose?

No.

If the doorbell is connected to your home wifi, then you won't have any recordings at all.

If the doorbell is connected through an Arlo smarthub (VMB4540 or VMB5000), then there is a "direct access to local storage" feature that some use instead of a subscription.

There are several limitations:

recordings are only available in the app (not my.arlo.com)
recordings are only available from the primary account (not shared accounts)
no ability to make manual recordings or take snapshots
no thumbnails - videos need to be downloaded to your phone before you see anything
remote access requires router setting changes that some find difficult (and which won't work with some internet service providers).

You also lose activity zones, which can be a problem with the doorbell, since the camera can't be aimed.
