Unable to connect avd2001 to vmb5000

Hi, guys! New to arlo environment. Bought in because of the "ability" to use a hub to record events. So far, I'm only able to install direct to wifi. I can see both the hub and the doorbell in ny account, see the events in the cloud library, but unable to retrieve events using hub. Shows "there's an error retrieving your library. Arlo team is working on it." I just need this to work, or i just have advice online (the hub) with no real purpose.

As noted in many posts here as well as the product page here, the wireless doorbell connects to only WiFi. One hopes a firmware release will allow connection to a hub but that's not the case now.

But is there a way to view/store recorded events from the doorbell via smarthub?

Not until these doorbells can be connected to a hub. The recording has to pass through the hub in the first place to be able to be locally recorded.
