Is the issue that the key holder can't hear the person at the door?

Or that the person at the door can't hear the key holder?

What is the phone model (and what OS version is it using)?

One possibility is that the app doesn't have permission to access the phone microphone.

Another is that the microphone is too far to pick up the keyholder's voice - so the keyholder should probably try holding the phone up to their ear, to see if that makes any difference.

If the keyholder has a headset, then it might also be worth trying that, and see if that makes any difference.

I've had an iPhone for a while - and haven't used Android 12.
