Many people have problems with Chime 2 and wifi connectivity. Including me. I spent weeks trying to work around the problem of connecting Chime 2 to my wifi router.

My dedicated 2.4 G network was called "Home network 2.4 G". I renamed it to "arlonett". I connected my phone to arlonett, and then installed chime 2. I had to press "try again", and it didn't seem to work, but when I exited and re-entered the app, there it was.

In other words: I gave my 2.4G home network a very simple name, with no dashes, commas, capital letters, spaces or anything. This seems to have solved the issue.

Once Chime 2 is installed you can go back to your standard 5G network, mesh system or what ever.
