AVD 1001, looking for a device on which I can see who is at the door, without using the smartphone.

A tablet that runs the app would be your other choice. It has to use the app for this to work.

I don't use that sort of connection so can't be sure. Maybe someone with actual experience will jump in.

We use to use a Kindle Fire for the cameras here, unsure if the apps still work on them.

Tho the app is still listed on Amazon for same
