Yet another issue with this doorbell. It began disconnecting from the base hub. As suggested I uninstalled the video doorbell and attempted to reinstall it. Big mistake. Now I can’t get it to reinstall. Nothing has changed. I’m using the same router same mobile device. The doorbell won’t setup, won’t connect and now I don’t have it on the app. I’ve tried the re-sync button, rebooting the router, rebooting the Arlo base. I’ve hit a dead end.

I can suggest that steps from my experience.

If you have 2.5, and 5ghz wifi signals on your router, disable the 5ghz.

On 2.5ghz, use a channel lower than 11 just in case.

Leave the door bell on power for at least two hours to fully charge first.

Then reboot the base station and wait to connect with your mobile application.

Then from the mobile application follow the steps to connect it with the base station.

You can also try to reset the video door bell and repeat the last step. You reset it from a button on back.

If you wondering why to change the router, the answer is because the base station is also acts as wifi repeater. So the router settings affects the base station transition.

There's an FAQ here in the support section that details the reset of the doorbell. However, if you've followed all of the troubleshooting methods with no success either swap at the store or use the Contact Support link at the bottom here for a hardware problem.

It might be worth trying to connect directly to your WiFi as a test.

@Aristos wrote:

The base station does not act as a repeater. It simply uses the router as the Internet portal and generates its own WiFi for Arlo devices to connect to. The only router settings that affect a base would be preventing the base from using certain ports needed to connect to the servers which would be unusual for most homes.

Yes, it's not a repeater, but it use the same channel as the routers wifi from what I have seen

Yes, that's by design, configured by WiFi experts much smarter than I.
