waterproof / weatherproof?

Is the wireless video doorbell waterproof / weatherproof? I need to install it on the fence next to my driveway gate, which is completely exposed and not under any eave.

I notice there's a mention in the user manual about not getting the doorbell wet. How wet is wet? Submerged-wet or rained on-wet?

Would a "doorbell cover box" help? I would install that, but it might make removing the doorbell to charge it a little tricky, as the tiny latch release hole is on top and not at the bottom (bad design if you ask me).

Where are you seeing this? I'm not finding it in the manual here:

Arlo says they are "weather resistant" and suitable for outdoor use. They stop short of saying "waterproof" or "weatherproof". Unfortunately, they do not give an IP rating

That could be better worded. Obviously you don't want the inside of the doorbell to be wet, and you shouldn't use a wet battery (for the AVD2001 which has a user-replaceable battery).
