I am guessing you really mean 5 ghz wifi. If you are instead talking about a mobile broadband router (connecting to 5g cellular instead of fiber, cable, or DSL), then please clarify.

The doorbell only can connect on the 2.4 ghz band.

But almost all 5 ghz routers are dual band - using both 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz bands - so it should work. Check your router specs before purchase, just in case you have one of the extremely rare exceptions.
