Apple Hone Kit and Alexa

for some reason i can not get the Arlo Pro 2 to connect to my Apple Home or Alexa it keeps asking to scan the QR code or enter a code which Arlo did not provide on the box or devices.

I also have the Arlo Video Doorbell that I can't get connected to either of them.

any tricks or tips

I have the Iphone XS Max and and 2 Alexa devices the dot and the show, all current software.

Please note that Apple Homekit support is not yet available for the Arlo Video Doorbell. It’s a goal of Arlo’s to make as many cameras compatible with these integrations as we can but we don’t have an announcement to make regarding Video Doorbell compatibility at this time.
