I go to add the 2nd gen doorbell, I get through the pairing process to where it tries to add to my account. Just before it fails, the amber light starts blinking for about 10 secdonds and I get the "doorbell to connect" message. It shows up on the app, but I can't connect to it. I've done the reset procedure to see if that helps, but same result. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

This sounds like it might be something going on with your wifi network.

Is it set to use WPA2 (AES) security?

You didn't answer the question as to what encryption your router is set to use. Also, whose "scanning tool" - what are you referring to?

Looks like there's a change in the forum - I can't edit my response since we were posting at the same time.

The WPA2/WPA3 setting may be the issue. Try setting it only to WPA2 (AES).

The scanning tool I'm referring to is the one embedded within the Arlo app (using Iphone 14) . The only choices I have are WPA2+personal, WPA2+WPA3-Personal, WPA+Personal / WP2-Personal, WPA3-Personal.

Try your first choice - WPA2+personal - to see what happens.

I did and same result. The doorbell acts like it's join the network, I see my Alexa device pick it up and it gets all the way to the end, then the amber light flickers for about 10 seconds and it fails. Thanks for trying to help, but it seems to be either a faulty device or something internal to Arlo itself.
