Doorbell Chime Compatibility - Constant Ring

Just installed an Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (AVD4001) into a system with a mechanical chime and added it to our Arlo account (set to wired doorbell in the app). If the doorbell is plugged in, the old chime continues to ring non-stop until the Arlo doorbell is disconnected. We are not sure of the compatibility with the existing chime. It is also our understanding that this doorbell model does not require a power kit.

Can someone knowledgeable with Arlo doorbell installations look at the attached photo of the current chime and perhaps give a recommendation on a solution? If it is not compatible we could just use the doorbell on battery, but we much prefer to have it on power so we don't have to charge it.

Your chime uses direct current (12 v DC), and Arlo doorbells are only compatible with low voltage alternating current (8-24 v AC). So it is not compatible.

Thank you for the reply. We will just use it on battery then. I'm sure it will be fine, just more frequent recharges.
