VMB5000 blinking yellow rather than a steady blue

Although the base station is blinking yellow it is still working and uploading videos to the cloud. I have a subscription and all seems normal but the base station blinking yellow although apparently it is working. In a 24 hour day it is steady blue about 4 hours and blinking yellow about 20 hours, which should indicate it is not connected but in my case it is still working. In fact it bothered me enough that I bought a VMB4540 to replace it, but as long as it is working I have not changed anything.

I have 3 Ultra 2 cameras working through the base station and 3 Pro 4s working directly with WiFi.

Any thoughts on this odd situation?

According to the following, the blinking amber LED means a camera is struggling to maintain its connection:

Try using live view on each camera. The one that takes the most time (by a long shot) is likely the one that is having the problem. You may need to relocate the camera for a better connection. It may also be useful to move the hub as far away from your router as practical.

You are correct. My camera on the back of the house is at the outer range of my wifi router which is in the front of the house.

You could use a WiFi extender near the back of the house to connect that camera to your WiFi so it has a better signal.

I had done that but it failed to properly extend the signal. I thought my VMB5000 had failed recently so bought a VMB4540 that was unopened. I relocated the extender (X6 AC2200) and hooked up the VMB4540 to it w an ethernet cable and relocated that downstairs in the middle of the house. So the back Ultra 2 is now working off the new hub and working well.
