COMBINATION OF ARLO PRO2 AND ULTRA 2 CAMERA WITH BASE 5000

I purchased arlo ultra 2 camera set of 4 with base 5000 , i am aware after free trial i need subscribe if needs FREE ALERT .but my question is i got 3 ARLO PRO2 cameras which gives vedio alert , if i add these 3 cameras to my new base can i still get free VEDIO ALERTS ? thanks

I think you're saying that you want to move the old Pro 2 cameras to the new hub and still have alerts and videos as before. The answer to that is yes - nothing changes.

I'm not sure @jguerdat understood your question (also I am not sure that I do).

You do not need a subscription to get notifications from any Arlo camera. You do need a subscription to get cloud recordings (showing you what triggered the camera).

The Pro 2 cameras are no longer sold. They did include a 7-day free storage plan, but that was limited to no more than 5 unsubscribed cameras in the account. So if you purchased used Pro 2 cameras and added them to your account - but had no subscription for the Ultras, then you would not get the free storage. If you did have a subscription for the Ultras, then you would also get cloud storage for the Pro 2s.

You can also save and access locally stored recordings with the VMB5000 base. This is free, but has a lot of limitations. More information on that is here:

I suggest setting that up while you still have the trial subscription in place, so you understand the limitations before you drop the subscription.

if i just needs vedio alert means notification alert vedio is that comes if i add my arlo pro2 camera to my new ultra2 system. i know arlo pro 2 are discontinue , i got 4 old arlo pro 2 and i purchased new system arlo ultra 2 .

A push notification (an alert) will be sent due to any camera having detected and recorded an event. Doesn't matter if you have a subscription. The alert would just be a basic text one - if you want an animated preview, that will require a subscription. As stated above, the subscription also gets you cloud recordings independent of the alerts.

yes i know but animated one i received free on my arlo pro 2 cameras thats why i asked here if i add my old pro2 with my ultra 2 can i still received animated vedio alert from arlo pro2 cameras ?

I am happy if i received animatied short vedio alert on my old ULTRA PRO 2 and add my new camera ULTRA 2 with new base . is that works

Getting the notification on your phone is free. Getting the video that goes with it requires a subscription.
