topic Ultra 2 using AC power still requires battery? in Arlo Ultra 2

I want to know if the Ultra 2 battery still has to be in place in the camera even if I am using AC adapter to power the camera.

I currently have some Pro 4 cameras, and I'm able to power the cameras with plug in AC adapter and no battery in camera. Even my older Pro 2 cameras don't need a battery installed to operate. This frees up the battery for another camera or for a charged spare. This feature is very helpful especially with outdoor cameras mounted high up and not readily accessible to change batteries.

It will run w/o the battery.

But I think it is a better option to leave the battery in, even when using the AC adapter. Arlo says that will not overcharge them.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, after I posted the question yesterday, I got it working. Turns out the contacts on the security mount were a little dirty. Once I cleaned them off, the camera works on AC power without the battery.
