I am having trouble with the security service code on my other phone so my son can keep an eye on me to make sure everything is ok

Do you mean 2-factor authentication?

The best approach is to set up a second account, and share the cameras with it (Arlo calls that a "friend" account). We can give you instructions on that here if you like. Let us know if your account shows you options for "Feed" and "Dashboard", or whether it shows you "Library" instead.
