Issue with local storage in VMB5000 base

The slot on my VMB5000 base will not accept a micro SD card in the slot. It won't engage/click in place. Just keeps popping out. I've verified it's a compatible card, verified it's a good card by bringing it up on my PC, sent support pictures and even of video of me trying to insert the card. I'm convinced it's a hardware issue and I need a replacement base. My issue has been escalated, but I haven't heard back. What are your thoughts? Hardware issue, something else I could try? I want local storage as I'm not willing to pay for a subscription since I already have another security system.

I find I have to use my fingernail to actually get the card to lock into place.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I did try that already and no luck.

Have you tried a different card? I suppose a small difference could keep the card from locking into place. BTW, the contacts on the card need to face the front of the hub when inserting.
