&lt;P&gt;The cable spec for fast and gigabit ethernet is 100m, though I think in some cases you can connect further.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;But you can add a switch part way along the path between the router and the base, and then connect the switch to the router and the base.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
