topic Arlo Ultra 2 Micro SD storage instead of USB, No magnetic camera mounts in Arlo Ultra 2

Arlo Ultra 2 package from Costco
The following issues were noticed when upgrading from an Arlo Pro 3 system to an Arlo Ultra 2 system.
- The USB port is missing in the Arlo Ultra 2.
This was a good feature in the Pro 3 Hub where a hard drive could be connected and videos could be stored on locally (up to 2TB could be formatted - This 2TB upper limit should be scalable to 5TB or 8TB hard drive)
In the Ultra 2 system a Micro SD card slot is provided and a max of 128 GB can be formatted and used for storage.
Issue - When upgrading from a 2K to 4K system, LOCAL storage requirements will increase. (CLOUD is NOT the solution as some clients would like their data to be local, and surely a 128 GB Micro SD card is not an upgrade).
- The Pro 3 package came with two magnetic camera holders whereas the Ultra 2 package had none.
***The reason for the upgrade from Pro 3 to Ultra 2 was to see car number plates clearly.

I agree that I prefer USB ports to a microSD card - just easier. As for the formatting of the card/drive, FAT32 is the defacto standard for many/most devices these days as the lowest common denominator usable by most systems. High-end digital cameras also use this. The limitation of 2TB is frequently not really an issue unless you record tons of long, high-quality videos every day or need to store them for crazy amounts of time. I eject my drives on the 1st of the month and copy them to my NAS for long-term storage, resulting in no need for huge drives. As for the actual size of the card limited to 128GB, I believe many folks have used larger although I don't know if any have hit a limit (other than cost of the card).

Your needs may exceed what most others need but there are ways to handle any of it.
