Unless things have changed over the years, that the base matches the home wifi channel is the norm.

The base will normally do this and you can't really set the channel manually.

Arlo has determined that there are less issues when the units are on the same channel.

In the past, there is sort of a "work-around" but it's not permanent. It involves moving the base unit farther away from you main wifi unit and then change the channel of your wifi ( or change the wifi channel and wait till the base follows it then change the wifi back ).

Sadly if you have a mesh setup, this prob will not work and/or if the base is reset it will try to follow the wifi channel again.

I'd try and swap two cameras just to see if the issue follows the troubled camera.

Since some weeks my Smarthub VBM5000 started to match my home network 2.4 Ghz wifi channel, and this give me issue with one out of four cameras (the more far from base station)

Please give me the option to manually set the Smarthub WiFi channel

Marco
